 U.N. asks Singapore to “urgently reconsider” execution of alleged cannabis dealer

Singaporean Tangaraju Suppiah is scheduled to be hanged on Wednesday after he was convicted of conspiracy to traffic a little over two pounds of cannabis.

The United Nations Human Rights Office pressed Singapore on Tuesday to “urgently reconsider” its scheduled execution of a man over one kilogram (2.2 pounds) of cannabis.
